At Buckle My Shoe Preschool, teachers are not only educators but researchers, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. They observe, question, document, and reflect alongside children, thoughtfully shaping curriculum based on curiosity and discovery. Learning is a collaborative process, and our educators grow with the children every day.

We take great pride in the depth of experience, knowledge, and education within our team. Many of our teachers hold master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education, and we intentionally seek educators who view teaching as a long term profession and a craft. Some members of our community have been with Buckle My Shoe for over 40 years, and many others for more than a decade. This continuity creates a true BMS family and a strong sense of belonging for both children and parents.

Professional growth is an ongoing commitment. Our educators participate in monthly professional development, outside workshops, and in house trainings that support reflection and collaboration. We also offer opportunities for deeper study, including educational experiences and study trips to Reggio Emilia, Italy, allowing our team to stay connected to the philosophy that guides our work.

Through experience, research, and community, our leadership and educators continually learn so they can provide the most thoughtful and responsive environment for every child.
