“We feel so fortunate to have found Buckle My Shoe.  Our oldest son transitioned to Buckle My Shoe from another school as a three year old and to say that the school’s teachers and administrators welcomed our son -- and us -- with open arms is a vast understatement.  They took the time to really get to know our son, were so warm and caring and engaged, and made all of us feel a part of a tremendous community. When we ask our son after school if he had a good day in Pre-K, he routinely tells us, that no, actually, he had a "fantastic day!"  His teachers are constantly coming up with new projects and ideas for the classroom, and they are so thoughtful about following where the children's interests lead and helping each child build on his or her strengths and work on challenging areas.  They’ve turned an interest in playing policemen into a study of criminal justice and a love of looking at bugs at the park into observation and study of insects in the classroom.  They’ve encouraged our son to build on his love of stories and art by giving him tools to paint, craft, and illustrate his own tales, and they’ve helped him to navigate learning to express his emotions and to work with others.  The kids obviously feel encouraged to be curious, to ask questions, and to dream big about what they can build and achieve; the love of learning that is developing amongst these little people is powerful.  As a Mom, I have felt so fortunate each day to drop my son off knowing that he feels cared for and loved in his classroom, that he is learning and growing, and that he is having fun at school.  As our oldest graduates from Pre-K, and our youngest gets ready to start in the 2’s, we are so grateful to be a Buckle My Shoe family.” Katherine Reilly

“We cannot say enough good things about our experience with BMS and the ex-missions process overall. Given the school’s small, intimate size, we received personalized attention throughout, but BMS really shined when it came to providing insights during the last leg of the process. As a result, we ended up with many great top schools to choose from. BMS is a place where every child is seen, loved and known by everyone. Our son has thrived over the last three years and we are grateful for everyone at BMS.” Melanie Mitchell & David Weiner
