What We’re About

Parents, teachers, and students are partners in learning by openly sharing and exchanging ideas. Through experimentation and active discovery our classrooms transform throughout the year, our projects revolve around student's interests, and our relationship with one another strengthens as we grow.

Behind The Scenes

Our teachers spend two-hours a day working closely with mentors and with experienced Reggio consultants, reflecting and guiding the emergent curriculum, and documenting the daily activities through: blogs, emails, daily reflections, and individualized student portfolios.

The REGGIO Approach

Every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it.  The 'Reggio' version of the child as competent learner has produced a strong child-directed curriculum model.  The curriculum has purposive progression but not scope and sequence.  Teachers follow the children's interests and do not provide focused instruction in reading and writing.  Reggio approach has a strong belief that children learn through interaction with others, including parents, educators and peers in a friendly learning environment.

We believe each classroom should be led by an educator, researcher and giver.

The researcher

Last year my son was part of the 2's program of BMS. It was a wonderful first-time experience for him. He enjoyed so much learning, socializing, and playing with everyone. For me, it was great seeing him developing with the right values and respect for others aside of the all the learning he acquired there.

The head Teacher

My family loved BMS; it was really sad for us to leave that wonderful school due to our out-of-state move. BMS will always bring us positive thoughts and memories. I wish to everyone who enrolls in their program to have the same wonderful experience as we had!

The class giver
