The children in 3AB have made great strides in communicating feelings, ideas and curiosities to the classroom community. We have noticed flourishing relationships between children and among groups of children. Blossoming imaginative play has spread into all centers as your children become comfortable expressing their creativity and sharing their endless ideas. Some of these ideas include using materials in adaptive new ways (e.g. Anna and Nolan iceskating on fabric). On top of all this play, many of your children have continued to show interest in beats, song lyrics, and dance! We will be channeling these interests in various projects throughout the week!
Dramatic Play: Caring and sharing, counting and comparing foods
Sensory Table: Orbeez and pretending Orbeez are babies
Manipulatives Center: kinetic sand and magnets
Block Center: Building structures for animals and collaborating on constructing roads and rails
Writing Center: glueing buttons in the shape of letters
Art Center: water color
Science Center: bugs and discovering new ways to explore flashlights
Gym: communicating wants and needs, keeping bodies safe, and swings!
Music and movement: making a beat!
Morning meeting: names and faces
