We put bubble wrap on the floor this morning for the children to explore - it was so fun!  Bubble wrap provides a lot of interesting sensory information for children when it is used in this way.  It has the potential to make interesting noises (like when the bubbles are popped) and is interesting to walk on.  Children get lots of sensory information from what touches the bottom of their feet - walking and running is a new enough skill that different sensations spark interest and curiosity in a playful way.
