Hello! 1A had a wonderful Monday! Janet and I would love to thank Sloane’s mom Sarah for bringing in apples today!

Here is a rundown of what we did today!

Today we…

·      Had class with our French teacher, Florence!

·      Had our apple observation today – we compared and contrasted the shapes, colors, textures, and taste of apples!

·      …we also continued to explore leaves and pine cones as well!

·      Played with puzzles and peg boards

·      Discovered that seeds in gourds make quiet sounds!

·      Explored sound variations – a favorite today was the cylinders and the long silver tube – the children loved singing “la, la, laaaa!” through them!

·      Worked on scooping and sorting different colors with caps

·      Explored dramatic play and sharing

Today we read…

·      Hands Are Not for Hitting

·      Apples and Pumpkins

Today we sang…

·      The Hello Song

·      The Ants Go Marching

·      Watermelon, Watermelon

·      The Clean Up Song

See you tomorrow!

Warmly,

Bridget and Janet
